The Challenge
What Spander Was Facing
The founding team had a strong conviction about where indoor navigation was going — but conviction is not the same as validation. They needed a working navigation MVP to put in front of early adopters quickly, generate real usage data, and use that data to raise a pre-seed round. The investor story required a live product, not a prototype, and the clock was running.
The Solution
What We Built
We agreed on a single testable flow: scan a QR code, get a walking route to a destination, arrive. No accounts, no saved locations, no history. We built the core routing engine, map renderer, and QR onboarding in 7 weeks and ran a live pilot in a shopping centre with 200 real users in week 8. Every session was instrumented for route success rate and drop-off point.
